About the School
The School of Science provides over 45 bachelor and postgraduate programs, and undertakes world class research across the disciplines of physical sciences, mathematical sciences and computer science. One of RMIT's top-performing research schools, we deliver research that addresses the 'real life questions' essential to Australia's innovation agenda. Our high-quality teaching programs inspire students to pursue careers in a range of industries including health, materials technology, food, geospatial and surveying, environmental analysis, banking and commerce, as well as computing and IT roles and research and development across a wide range of areas.


About you
As the Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting activities, meetings and projects for the Associate PVC India for SEH. You will manage a busy work schedule and provide a high level of administrative support, as well as be the regular and first point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. This role will allow you to liaise on behalf of the Associate PVC India for SEH in an efficient manner, undertake research searches when necessary and organise conference and travel arrangements, itineraries, visa requirements and conference registrations. 


To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in providing high quality administrative support at a senior executive level, in a university or similar large/complex organisation
  • Preparing and drafting correspondence, briefing papers, presentation materials and reports for the Executive, as well as advising the Executive of relevant and applicable University policy and procedure as required.
  • Coordinating and facilitating workshop, seminars and events
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills, with the ability to take the initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services
  • High level interpersonal skills, allowing the development of strong working relationships with staff, internal and external clients
  • Proven ability to work independently, use initiative and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment with excellent attention to detail and a dedication to quality assurance.
