Role Type: Full-time, 12-24 months fixed-term opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Legal, IT & IP, you will provide quality, commercially astute and timely legal advice to achieve compliance with new regulatory requirements impacting on ANZs technology.
Your responsibilities include: -
Ensure internal customers are provided with quality legal services, with a particular focus on being pro-active and efficient and 'adding value', including ensuring that customers are aware of the legal risks involved in their transactions, and the implications of, and reasons for, legal advice provided to them.

Assist business with instructing external legal advisers to ensure value for money and appropriate cost control, & where possible keep work in-house rather than brief out.

Seek continuous improvement in terms of quality, efficiency and risk management to achieve compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Demonstrate a focus on team culture and conduct self in way that enhances the smooth operation of the IT & IP legal team, the broader Corporate Legal team and the broader business teams, including by supporting other team members through appropriate interaction and by displaying a willingness to help others meet objectives.

Proactively manage own development needs and training.

Personally contribute in a positive way to support a high level of engagement within the Corporate Legal team.

Participate and assist with cross-skilling between members of the IT & IP legal team and broader Corporate Legal team and work collaboratively.

Ensure internal processes, policies and procedures, including relating to risk management, knowledge sharing, document simplification and training, are complied with and (where possible) improved.

Ensure awareness of relevant policies and procedures relating to risk and compliance.
