The Role

As the Director, Pathways Vietnam is responsible for the successful delivery of Pathways programs across all RMIT campuses in Vietnam. Programs include a range of English Pathway Programs as well as ESP, corporate and Teens Programs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work with the Executive Director Commercial and Operations to evolve and deliver the Pathways Strategy in Vietnam.
  • Collaborate with RMIT Training in Melbourne to maintain a culture of commitment to student articulation and experience across all programs.
  • Ensure the School’s Operations conform and meet the requirements of NEAS, where relevant TEQSA, and any further local regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of issues affecting Pathways and evaluate the implications of these for RMIT Pathways and any relevant local regulatory implications.
  • Forecast and manage the annual program budget, including development and management of an annual School work plan.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director Commercial and Operations to develop the Vietnam Pathways budget, forecast submissions and meeting deliverables within cost, time and quality expectations.
  • Oversee the whole employee life-cycle, from recruitment through to effective management of performance, development, engagement and motivation of the Pathways Vietnam team.
  • Oversee student numbers, sales, marketing and promotion of all programs under New Initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Appropriate Post Graduate qualification in Education combined with knowledge and achievement that meet RMIT criteria.
  • Significant demonstrated experience relevant to the management and delivery of English Language programs within a higher education setting.
  • High level leadership capabilities to enable RMIT to achieve its vision and strategic objectives.
  • Extensive experience in leading, coaching and mentoring teams, people and English Language programs to develop and achieve defined operating objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in best practice and innovation in delivery of English and related programs in a language institution.
  • Experience in setting and maintaining high standards of professional performance, productivity and employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience of budgeting and financial management and reporting.
  • Strong, high-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to act with diplomacy, discretion and tact.

English proficiency requirements

If English is not your native language then you will be required to demonstrate a minimum English language proficiency standard at Advanced level (Linguaskill score 180), equivalent to IELTS (General) 8.0.  RMIT Vietnam will require you to complete a Linguaskill test to assess your level of English before an offer of employment can be made.
