About the Job
Swinburne Research has a exciting opportunity opportunity to join as a Research Ethics Executive Officer to play an integral role to the implementation and further development of the University’s administration of research ethics and includes developing and maintaining filing and other systems and databases. This role will also contribute to the organisation of information workshops and training, and the ongoing improvement of procedures and processes are also essential elements of the role.

You will provide effective research administration and support within Swinburne Research. A focus of the role is to provide committee secretary support to the various research ethics committees of the University. As part of the role, you will also provide advice and assistance to committee members, academic staff and research students on committee processes, protocols and ethical issues relating to their research.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• An undergraduate degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/ or education and training.
• Well developed interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with a wide variety of people, to identify needs and to impart knowledge in a professional manner
• Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to develop and use a range of problem solving and decision making skills to ensure that tasks are effectively and professionally completed, to ensure high quality customer service
