About The Role
Role Location: 242 Pitt Street, Sydney
Role Type: Permanent, Fulltime
 

Objective:
This role is an excellent opportunity to cross-skill and gain exposure to financial products and systems as part of a dynamic and vibrant team supporting functions across many areas of the bank.

As a Senior Analyst - Finance Support, you will participate in the design and development of accounting and reporting solutions for Finance (in particular Markets & Treasury Control) as well as supporting requests and enquiries from users of the Murex system. Where necessary you will also act as an interface between Finance stakeholders and other Murex application and IT support/project areas to assist, design and deliver Finance Murex objectives.

Key Result Areas
Working with Finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into Murex functionality and solutions

Managing the efficient running of existing processes; designing and building new processes to solve any subsequent issues; and increasing the automation and improving the efficiency of existing processes.

Build and manage relationships with various stakeholders in diverse functions and locations with teams including M&TC, Front Office, Financial Control & Business Partnering

Timely resolution to stakeholder queries; proactively identifying potential issues; and communicating, scoping, and remediating issues.

Ensuring all Finance related system configuration changes are implemented in line with agreed and approved change management protocols and procedures

Managing testing efforts on changes to Murex Finance functionality (i.e. as part of the implementation of system upgrades and patches)

Optimise organisational performance by promoting diversity and ensuring effective team cohesion.

 
About you:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have skills, knowledge and experience in the following:

• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, IT or another related field and strong relevant experience
• Proficient communication skills both written and oral. Excellent stakeholder management skills
• A willingness and drive toward continued learning and development
• Good product knowledge across derivatives, FX, MM and commodities
• Sound documentation and project management skills
• A high general level of technology skills. Some experience in Product control and/or Murex, Calypso, Sophis or a similar trading platform would be useful but is not required
