About the opportunity

Our Uniting facility Elanora, in Shellharbour, is looking for a Homemaker to help deliver Inspired Care to our valued residents.

A Homemaker is a supervisory role which involves managing the day to day lives of our residents, along to conducting managerial duties to ensure the delivery of skilled, individualized care to the highest possible professional standard.

In additional to the necessary skills and qualifications, you must also be able to work on a rotating roster.

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan and co-ordinate work activities of the team to ensure care needs are met, while allowing flexibility in client preferences and choices
• Identify and clarify team responsibilities for aspects of care in consultation with the Registered Nurse, Care Coordinator and other members of the health care team
• Utilise systems to audit, analyse and continuously improve the comprehensive assessment, care planning process and care delivery for each person receiving care

You must have:

• Certificate IV (Aged Care) including required medications skills set
• Working knowledge of ACFI Aged Care Accreditation Standard

• Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or substantial progress as to completion.
