About the ARC Training Centre for the Transformation of Australia’s Biosolids Resource:

The $6.6 million ARC Training Centre for the Transformation of Australia’s Biosolids Resource will bring together expertise from 20 national and international partners from Australia, the UK and US including universities, water management authorities and industry.

In partnership with the consortium, the Centre will develop new applications and market opportunities in the biosolids sector, as well as deliver cost savings for industry and better results for the environment and develop a group of highly-trained industry-ready researchers that will develop more sustainable, improved technologies, and enhanced use of biosolids products.

About you:

Reporting to the Centre Director, the Centre Manager represents a key position within the newly created Training Centre and is critical to the delivering of the Centre’s objectives.

Working in close partnership with the Director, senior academic, technical and administrative representatives from partner organisations, the Centre Manager will oversee all day to day operations of the Centre. This will include, but not limited to:

  • Providing oversight of the Centre’s project portfolio;
  • Training experiences for PhD students and earlier career researchers;
  • Journal and intellectual property outputs; and
  • Finances.

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrated managerial experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegiately with a broad cross-section of professionals to achieve significant outcomes; and
  • Demonstrate advanced organisational skills and ability to effectively compile significant reports including those providing financial oversight.

Previous operational experience within an ARC Training or Centre of Excellence if preferred, but not essential.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
