About Your Role

The goal of the position is to manage and coordinate for next release phase of the OneSky program Work Packages of Integration Verification & Validation. You will perform this role from authorisation to start until closure of the Work Package for all aspects of the Work Package including organisation, scheduling, effort, budget, risk and the management of Thales and Customer obligations that fall inside the scope of the Work Package.

  • Demonstrate that the System fulfils contractual requirements and specifications
  • Provide early insight and confidence that the Mission and Support Systems as designed are likely to meet user requirements
  • Highlight deficiencies of the Mission and Support Systems which impact the capability outcomes as early as possible
  • Support Customers’ safety cases and Provisional Acceptance and System Acceptance Milestone decisions
  • Support the assessment of Operational Readiness in operational Training, procedures and adaptation data
  • Demonstrate to the Customer the effectiveness of the Support System Constituent Capabilities developed as part of the Support System
  • Support formal System Acceptance, Commissioning Readiness and transition Milestones; and
  • Identify any need for further development to correct emergent capability issues.

How About You?

  • Engineering or Computer Science Degree or equivalent or a related discipline and relevant industrial experience in systems engineering or communication systems.
  • Experience managing complex work packages especially demonstrate strong experience in testing campaign and commissioning of safety critical systems.
  • Strong Engineering Management background with ability to design engineering solutions for complex problems
  • Experience managing multi-skilled team of engineers and subcontractors
  • ATM domain knowledge highly desirable or experience working on mission critical real-time systems. 
  • Experience in total life cycle of software/system development including processes and responsibilities at each stage in the cycle
  • Financial / Budgetary control of work-packages or segments experience
