About the role
Uniting are seeking a qualified Pastoral Practitioner to join our friendly Western Sydney team on a casual basis. In this challening and rewarding position, the Pastoral Practitioner will work with Chaplains, fellow Pastoral Practitioners and Pastoral Volunteers to implement the delivery of pastoral care, worship services and chaplaincy programs to meet the spiritual and pastoral needs of Residents, Clients, Staff and their Families.
About you
The successful candidate must have experience in ministry in an aged-care context, demonstrating a passion for pastoral care. We are seeking a proven ability in pastoral care and an understanding of reflective transformational pastoral practice as well as administrative skills. The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant Theological study
- 400-hour Basic Unit in Clinical Pastoral Education (or be willing to complete this within the first six months of employment)
- A CPE-equivalent qualification will be considered
- Previous experience in Pastoral Care preferably with ageing people
You will ‘walk the talk’ of professional boundaries, be comfortable with emails and documentation, and be self-aware in all relationships with residents and their families, staff, pastoral care volunteers, and pastoral care colleagues.
