What’s your mission?

Are you interested in pursuing a Compliance career in a dynamic team that’s looking to redefine banking and reimagine services to support a customer’s financial wellbeing? As part of ABT, we’re working to make our approach to risk, compliance and security a critical point of difference and looking for a passionate individual to help drive, design and implement change.

Successful candidates will be responsible for helping design and embed ABT’s compliance program as part of ABT’s Monitoring Automation & Control (MAC) value stream, and will work closely with our 1st line business and 2nd line Risk partners on this journey.

Your day may involve:

• Finding out what’s happening in the regulatory environment and working with ABT stakeholders on the impacts
• Ensuring ABT adherence to relevant legislation and applicable codes
• Helping teams in ABT understand their obligations and co-design controls that are consistent with the MAC vision
• Creating frameworks, processes, and standards to support compliance program implementation
• Designing, documenting and supporting the compliance program rollout
• Ensuring a strong risk and compliance culture

 

What will be in your toolkit?

• Experience developing and embedding operational risk and compliance management approaches in large-scale programs.
• Demonstrable understanding of regulations and codes in banking and financial services.
• Ability to explore market trends and optimise the way we manage risk, compliance and assurance.
• Strong problem-solving skills informed by experience in forming compliant solutions.
• A track record and passion for driving the efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement of company policies and practices.
• Strategic thinking coupled with strong execution and delivery focus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Some legal background with experience in digital banking or e-payments is preferred, but not required.

 
 

This is offered as a permanent and full time role, based in 839 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008.
