About Vocational Education at RMIT
At RMIT, Vocational Education (VE) is at the heart of what we do. The College of Vocational Education is an innovative, sector leading provider which makes a global impact. Led by the Pro Vice-Chancellor Vocational Education, Mish Eastman, the College of Vocational Education has approximately 900 staff and is comprised of a broad range of discipline areas around Health, Social and Community Support, Engineering and Technology, Trades and Apprenticeships, Design, Media and Arts which leverage the scale, breadth and physical and digital footprint of RMIT to lead the sector in innovative and transformative applied learning.
In response to global trends and the changing role of Vocational Education, discipline areas will be brought together into one united College. This new College of Vocational Education, will build a united and empowered community with a shared identity focused on Vocational Education. As a leading multisector provider, the College will focus on transformative student experiences, deep connections with industry and adapting to the changing needs of the Victorian and global economy.
About you
The Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor, Learning & Teaching is a key leadership position critical to achieving the VE CollegeÂ’s strategic objectives relating to teaching & learning pedagogy and the unique student experience for VE at RMIT. As the Deputy PVC, Learning & Teaching, you will have overall accountability for the development of transformative, innovative and quality learning frameworks for VE students and drive outcomes to support innovation within the teaching community across course design, delivery and assessment. The role will also have accountability for delivery of learning within all required quality and regulatory frameworks and be responsible for ensuring the College of VE is compliant with state and federal government and regulator quality assurance frameworks.
