About the opportunity
Due to continual growth within Home and Community Care, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Workforce Lead to join out friendly team based out of our Deakin, ACT office on a permanent full time basis. You will be key in development of strategy, planning, budgeting and reporting.
Key Accountability:
- Oversee service based scheduling function, ensuring rostering practice is operationally sound and legislatively compliant
- Use available data to inform workforce initiatives within service delivery teams.
- Oversee service delivery teams and work with team leaders to ensure support workers are adequately skilled, resourced, and providing a high-quality service to clients
- Through operational teams, identify and act upon areas for continuous improvement.
- Build employee engagement by embedding sound leadership and management practice within service delivery teams.
- Develop the capability of team members through coaching and mentoring.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, their families, industry professionals, relevant Government Departments and agencies, spiritual advisor’s and members of the community.
- Achieve high levels of clients, carers, staff and stakeholder satisfaction within the service to facilitate a culture of continuous quality improvement.
You will have:
- A Bachelor qualification in a relevant business field, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or equivalent experience
- This is a supervisory role requiring background and experience leading large teams as well as experience conducting employee performance management
- Demonstrated experience with staff rostering, workforce planning and/or logistics
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a highly successful team within the Aged Care or Community Welfare
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organized, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined
- Full and unrestricted driver’s license (car)
- Experience working in diverse communities including but not limited to CALD, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTI and people with disability-(Desirable)
