As part of ABT, we’re working to make our approach to risk, compliance and security a critical point of difference and looking for a passionate individual to help drive, design and implement change.

Successful candidates will be responsible for helping design and embed ABT’s control environment around its technical configuration of financial products. You will be part of ABT’s Monitoring Automation & Control (MAC) value stream, and will work closely with our 1st line business and 2nd line Risk partners on this journey.

Your day may involve:

• Bringing creativity by challenging what’s possible whilst keeping the safety and financial wellbeing of our customers at our core.
• Bringing systems technical expertise and knowledge of financial products together to create a truly aligned design that is simple.
• Ensuring ABT adherence to relevant legislation and applicable codes
• Helping product teams in ABT design automated controls that are consistent with the MAC vision
• Ensuring a strong risk and compliance culture

What will be in your toolkit?

• Technology domain experience preferably across multiple technology disciplines (info security, availability, cloud, cyber, tech delivery, Digital etc.).
• Strong expertise in risk management, assurance or operational excellence
• Some knowledge and experience in designing and/or monitoring financial products is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to adopt market trends and optimise the way we manage risk and assurance
• A track record and passion for driving the efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement of company policies and practices
• Strategic thinking coupled with strong execution and delivery focus
• Demonstrable understanding of regulations and codes in banking and financial services.
• Strong problem-solving skills informed by experience in forming compliant solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

This is offered as a permanent and full time role, based in 839 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008.
