About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Intake and Administration worker to provide administrative support to the centre that ensures the smooth delivery of services and clinical programs. This is a part time position working 21 hours week where you will be a part of our expanding team based out in Newcastle.



Responsibilities

  • Provide intake, assessment, screening and referral for Unifam clients and referring organisations.
  • Conduct intake interviews with clients via the telephone and in face to face interviews.
  • Provide clients with information regarding Unifam services and fee schedule.
  • Provide word processing and computer functions to assist the Regional Manager and the Centre’s clinical staff.
  • Maintain a centralised up to date record of all client details for open cases.
  • Liaise with staff around the maintenance of the centres appointment diary


About you
  • Demonstrated ability managing a reception desk and switchboard in a busy office environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage clients over the telephone
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain administration systems
  • Completion of a basic counselling skills course or willingness to undertake (desirable)
