What’s your mission?
 

As a Systems Analyst supporting the Get Help and Give Feedback value stream, your team’s mission is to help people and small businesses via chat, video, phone or in person get help, resolve an issue, provide feedback and improve their financial wellbeing.


Your mission is crucial in helping build ANZ’s capacity to service and support our customers through enabling Operations and Servicing activities. We want you to bring your knowledge of Australia Retail & Commercial operational processes and systems to assist the Get Help and Give Feedback work stream make getting help delightfully easy.


As a Systems Analyst, you will work closely with the Get Help Lead, Systems Architect and Business Analyst to document service use cases including process and system functionality to be delivered/adapted and undertake Impact Assessments for all impacted system and processes including Australia Retail & Commercial and Australia Business Transformation system dependencies, screens, data feeds and information flow, requirements and constraints.

 

You’ll employ your broad knowledge of Australia Retail & Commercial Operations and Servicing processes and systems whilst being exposed to the modern technology that Australia Business Transformation is employing to help reshape customer’s experiences across joining ANZ, managing their money and buying a home. 

 

There is an expectation that you will have a creative, customer focused mindset, a strong understanding of Operations and Servicing activities, key related ANZ systems and have experience working as a Systems Analyst.

 
What will your day look like?
  • Collaborating with Product Owners and Engineers to translate business requirements into workable technology outcomes for the squad
  • Partnering with the squad to validate requirements and priorities, ensuring alignment to value, uncovering dependencies and validating boundaries and sequencing of User Stories
  • Understanding system design and architecture of disparate systems for in-depth technical analysis.
  • Documenting system dependencies, information flow, requirements and constraints
  • Transforming requirements into system design – including analysis of existing APIs and defining new APIs, defining the sequence of services, performing field level analysis, defining intra-system mapping and transformation rules.
  • Undertaking impact assessments in existing Operations and Servicing functions to identify all impacted systems, screens and fields
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing solutions to perform more effective and efficient analysis
  • Working with a Business Analyst to document processes and system functionality to be delivered/adapted and in particular documenting service use cases
  • Leveraging tools for optimal collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Implementing a ‘test & learn’ culture within the squad, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality and documentation
  • Creating estimates and continuously reviewing demand within the particular Squads
 
 
What will be in your toolkit?
 
  • Previous experience in one or more types of Technical Analyst roles will be highly regarded, e.g. System Analyst, Solution Engineering, Business Analyst, Data Analyst
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Deep domain and system knowledge to turn customer and product journeys into technical requirements and work with architects and engineers to convert those requirements into workable technology outcomes
  • Strong background with defining/ using:
    • OpenAPI’s
    • Data Modelling
    • Plant UML
    • WSDL’s/ Contracts
    • Agile tools – JIRA, Confluence.
  • Experience in translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A desire to continuously learn new techniques and technologies, bringing innovative ideas into the squad
  • A broad understanding of how to apply New Ways of Working to the role
