About the job
Swinburne Innovation Precinct is looking for a Marketing & Communications expert to support the implementation of our communications and outreach strategy with Swinburne staff and students, external industry and community collaborators and our partner start-up companies.

You will lead and coordinate the communications and marketing activities, with a focus on two key areas: creation of content that elevates the profile of the Innovation Precinct to the precinct’s community, and the promotion and coordination of events – both traditional and through new channels – that help to build the Innovation Precinct’s reputation.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • A bachelor degree in marketing or related discipline with subtantial experience; or extensive experience industry experience in marketing and communications. 
  • Strong experience in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns both on social media (Facebook and LinkedIn) and in producing internal and external communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated high-level stakeholder/client management skills, with the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds in both one-on-one and group meetings.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to create, edit and produce rich marketing and communications content, draft correspondence, respond to ad-hoc requests for information and advice and well-developed editing and proof-reading skills.
