About the Job
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) team as our new Injury Management Business Partner. This role will provide timely early intervention, stay at work and return to work advice and support to managers and staff in the areas of both workers’ compensation and non-work related injuries and illnesses.
The emphasis of the advice provided to line managers is on best practice return to work strategies and solutions which ensure the University meets both its legal obligations and provides a supportive return to work culture with a strong focus on early intervention.
The HS&W team sit within the People, Planning and & Culture department and reports into the Senior Manager of HS&W. It is expected as our new Injury Management Business Partner you will work closely with the Senior Manager of HS&W and partner with varied internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, implement and/or improve early intervention, stay at work and return to work policies, systems and programmes to meet the HS&W team’s strategic objectives.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
• An in depth knowledge and practical understanding of the Victorian workers’ compensation scheme, legislation and associated guidance material
• Experience working as an Occupational Therapist managing work related injuries
