About the Job
As our Team Leader, Events and Special Projects, you will be responsible for increasing event participation, as well as planning for future enhancements. This role supports the strategic development and delivery of events and activities to increase stakeholder engagement.
The role sits within Alumni & Operations Unit, reporting directly to the Director and you will manage a small team to deliver creative and exciting university lectures and webinars as well as alumni and development activities.
There will be a strong focus on online and remote emnagement with stakeholders, as well as working with staff across the university to assist in delivery of their goals through projects, events and activities.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Qualifications in event management; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Proven ability and extensive experience in event management and external liaison and or/alumni activities, including a sound knowledge of appropriate concepts, methods and practices
• Proven experience in delivering and supporting the development of strategic and high-impact VIP and major events including the management of event logistics, speakers, presentation material, venues and publicity
