About You and the Role

As Communications Manager, you play a pivotal role in:

  • Delivering all aspects of IEAA�s communications and marketing strategies and member engagement
  • Facilitating, creating and delivering high quality IEAA publication, marketing collateral and end-to-end management of content marketing campaigns for all IEAA activities
  • Management and editorial coordination, design and production of IEAA�s monthly member update and reports i.e. annual reports, research reports and research digests
  • Overseeing IEAAs online presence through effective management of the IEAA website and producing additional digital content as well as proactively seeking alternative digital platforms to ensure IEAA meets online best practice standards
  • Increasing IEAA social media presence through a wide range of channels such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and associated sub-groups through creative content strategy, active participation and results driven engagement
  • Advocating for, and developing responses to, changes in sector policy including writing press releases, communicating with journalists and providing advice to the IEAA Executive team.

You will have:

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in communication & marketing strategies   as well as brand development, equipped with professional writing skills i.e. content creation, editing and copywriting and strong verbal communication skills with the ability to conceptualise ideas and brand narrative through impactful written content
  • Strong organisational and management skills including sound financial & resource planning skills in order to provide advice to relevant members, key Government, industry stakeholders and the wider international education sector with the ability to work autonomously, prioritising workloads and evaluating work performance and flow
  • High level IT skills, including proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), website and database management and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Capability and capacity to manage relationships as well as high-level of interpersonal skills in working in cross cultural environments
  • Sound research skills with proficient knowledge of public policy
  • An understanding of the international education sector and strong interest in international relations

Qualifications

Postgraduate degree and/or commensurate working experience in communication and engagement strategy and brand development.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
