About The Role

The Assistant Manager role is an integral part of the business service proposition. The incumbent will assist the Senior Relationship Sales Manager to complete the sales, client relationship management as well as credit requirements of the portfolio. The incumbent will assist the Senior Relationship Sales Manager to maximise returns to the group via sustained business growth opportunities. The position will require a close working relationship with product specialists and clients in regards to day-to-day requirements.

• Through regular contact with the client, identify cross sell opportunities to be passed on to the Senior Relationship Sales Manager for execution.
• Support generating of new business opportunities from new to bank clients as well as product cross-sell agenda to new and existing clients by working closely with product partners
• Provide support to the Senior Relationship Sales Manager in achieving performance objectives based on allocated clients and in line with agreed targets
• Ensure new transactions and portfolio management of existing customers conform to the Business Writing Strategy, appropriate underwriting standards and Bank credit policy and procedures
• Instilling a customer centric approach to business by collaborating with stakeholders and product partners
• Meet ANZ requirements and adhere to policy in relation to compliance, risk and behaviours

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
• Relevant experience in Banking/Finance is preferred
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics is preferable
• Ability to identify key business drivers and mitigate key risks and make recommendations where appropriate
• Demonstrated financial analysis skills going beyond traditional accounting-based analysis
• Demonstrated customer service skills (internal and external) - includes relationship building
• Interpersonal skills - confidence, professionalism and integrity and strong sense of accountability
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Team player who works well with others
