About the Job
Reporting to the Medical Practice Manager within the Wellbeing at Swinburne Team, our new Triage Support Officer will work with the Student and Academic Services team to assist in the preliminary intake and triage of patients /clients utilizing Wellbeing at Swinburne and other Student Services.
This role will provide essential clinical and office administration support for all areas of Wellbeing at Swinburne, including General Practice, Counselling and Psychological Services, Physiotherapy, Dietetics and Pathology services. The key focus of the role will be to provide initial triage for medical and mental health clients: low, medium and high-risk priorities.
You will work closely with management to explore and implement quality improvement activities within the service to deliver excellent customer service and improve patient experience and efficiency within the practice.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Must be registered and unrestricted as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
• Medication Administration Education
• Experience working in a health/ medical practice/ mental health / Disability environment
• Candidates must have experience in triaging and coordination of telephone based, and face to face clinical intake services including complex and potentially high risk clients
• Ability to work independently, exercising sound judgement, and use initiative as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrate ability to work successfully in a team
