About the Role 

As the ARC Centre Project Officer, you will be based within the Automated Decision-Making and Society Centre, in the School of Media and Communication and you will coordinate and drive operational and administrative activities of the Centre across all its locations. You will work under the direction of the Manager, Business and Operations and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, you will also liaise with the centre staff, researchers HDR students and other stakeholders, both internal and external to the School.

About You 

  • You will have previous experience of working in a large and complex organization; preferably within tertiary sector and/or research institution
  • Previous experience in providing high-level administrative support; including travel management, correspondence, document development and information management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively form strong relationships with a wide and diverse range of stakeholders at different seniority levels
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to apply innovative solutions
  • Strong It skills; strong knowledge of Ms Office Suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software

Qualifications 

Desirable:

  • A tertiary degree in administration or equivalent relevant experience in administration.
  • Previous experience working in a large research institution, University or ARC Centre of Excellence.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
