About the Job
Reporting to the Web Development Team Leader, the Software Engineer (Web) is integral to the development, implementation, and support with delivery of effective, innovative solutions. In this role, you will build strengthened partnerships with stakeholders and colleagues to develop and implement significant improvements for web authors in Marketing, Communications & Media, and other corporate functions.

Working in collaboration with colleagues in Development Services, the Software Engineer (Web) will maintain and enhance Enterprise Content Management components and templates based in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). In addition, this role will assist with 2nd and 3rd tier support, analysing complex systems issues and resolving them to successfully implement a solution via vendor liaison or programming solutions.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Demonstrated technical experience building back-end enterprise solutions to deliver secure object-oriented and database-driven software applications using Enterprise Java or any other language
• Experience using web application development tools such as NodeJS, Yarn and Composer to build valid and cross-browser compatible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Proven technical experience building enhancements and maintaining complex components and templates for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on results and quality of service as part of a web development, digital or IT team
