Play an integral role providing architectural and thought leadership on the implementation and usage of data and information management

About the Job
In this newly created position, our new Enterprise Data Architect will play a key role providing architectural and thought leadership on the implementation and usage of data and information management. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Architecture, you will possess an enterprise data view with responsibility in establishing data governance and operating models as well as a data management framework.

The new Enterprise Data Architect will understand and translate business requirements into data and information centric solutions. Ideally you have come from a data modelling background in large scale data warehouse projects and have transitioned to designing and modelling with structured and unstructured data on modern big data platforms.

To be considered for this role you will demonstrate a track record as a Data Architect working on a range of projects across Data Warehousing, BI, Data Analytics and complex Data Migration solutions.

Working with multiple stakeholders across the the business, you will work to define and resolve complex data collection, data integration, data storage and data access challenges to place key insights in the hands of decision makers.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A postgraduate degree level qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Strong experience in the traditional and big data space (databases, data warehouses, customer data platforms, data management platforms, data lakes, advanced analytics) with established and emerging technologies
• Strong experience as a Data Architect (design and implementation) or senior technical role specialising in Data within a large IT project delivery environment
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a large complex organisation.
