About?The Role:

Professional Practice Credentials provide objective and independent proof of capabilities that have been developed through learning and experience and that have been demonstrated in practice.

Credentials include core employability capabilities (such as communication and teamwork) and professional expertise (for example data analytics and risk management). The credentialing process provides professionals with a credible, consistent and independent recognition of their current skills and knowledge.

Credentials are aligned to industry standards and the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for RMIT Online Assessors (both industry and academic).

Our Assessors are engaged by RMIT Online for credential assessment. As an Online Assessor,?you will be responsible for: 

  • Assessment of the candidate’s evidence submissions, testimony and video interview, per the Professional Practice Credentials Procedure.
  • Provision of specific and constructive feedback
  • Submission of rubric including assessment feedback and results via the Assessment Portal – all tasks to be completed within 10 business days of allocation of assessment.

Academic Assessors may be called upon to conduct quality moderation. 

All assessment work can be carried out remotely from home and outside of business hours. 

About You

You’ll possess a wealth of knowledge, industry experience and skills in your field of expertise. You'll have the know-how to utilise this experience to maximise the student experience. Lastly, you’ll be proficient in using the latest digital tools and technologies to deliver course material entirely online and in an engaging manner.

 

Qualifications:

Academic Assessor: Must have a minimum qualification of a master’s degree (academic assessors must be at least one level higher than the level of the credentials they assess)

Industry Assessor: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior role within a professional work environment. Must hold a minimum qualification of an undergraduate degree.

Essential Skills

  • Skilled in using a variety of cloud based and online tools 
  • Advanced digital literacy skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional communications skills 
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest personal standards of ethics and confidentiality
  • Must be available to attend moderation discussions remotely as required
  • Must be available to attend induction and training sessions in Melbourne (4 per year)

Desirable (Academic Assessor) 

  • Holds a PhD

Desirable (Academic and Industry Assessor)

  • Recent Tertiary/VET delivery/assessment experience

Experience and understanding in the banking sector as well as an understanding of risk management, policy and procedures is desirable. Your strong understanding of education in both a professional and academic context as well as experience in high quality marking and assessment will be looked upon as favourable.
