About the Job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manager, Learning Design to provide learning design leadership and expertise for teaching staff in developing and integrating digital learning strategies and resources into students’ learning experiences to achieve the objectives of the University’s Learning and Teaching strategy and the Swinburne 2025 Plan. A confident manager, you will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement and guide the learning design team as they support our teachers in transforming courses and units within a learner-centered framework.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A degree qualification and extensive tertiary education experience in learning design; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/ or education/ training
• Strong grasp of pedagogical principles and educational and learning design philosophies, strategies and theories, and the ability to apply those concepts.
• Significant experience in designing authentic learning and assessment strategies and innovative engaging online/digital learning approaches, and in adapting educational models.
• Demonstrated staff management experience, including the ability to lead and manage design staff in a supportive and collegial manner, and foster innovation and collaboration across different sub-teams.
