About the role:
This role sits in The College of Science, Engineering and Health. The College comprises four Schools delivering a broad range of programs in science, engineering, health and technology at higher education certificate, bachelor, masters and PhD levels. Many programs articulate between vocational and higher education, creating pathways for further study. There is a vibrant research community attracting funding from a range of government and industry sources. The College has an annual income of approximately $550 million and employs over 1,400 staff providing on and offshore programs to approximately 30,000 students.

The STEMM Digital Innovation Centre:
The STEMM Digital Innovation Centre: Provides dynamic, research-informed leadership and support for STEMM Digital Innovation across STEMM disciplines. The Centre aims to promote STEMM scholarship in learning and teaching at a local, national and international level.
The Director will lead the STEMM Digital Innovation Centre, focussed on learning transformations through digital innovation. This role will work to create distinctive approaches for blended and online learning in STEMM and learning resources using digital technologies (such as AR,VR, digital communication platforms, digital twins, IoT, AI etc) across learning environments (remote laboratories, digitally enabled practice-based education, digital lectures and simulated learning).
The Director will also be responsible for growing student access, flexibility and satisfaction, fast-tracking development of an interdisciplinary community of practice in digitally enabled learning in STEMM. This role will work to establish a unique resource for learning and improvement and disseminating outcomes through programs and courses, partnerships, publications and commercial translation.
About you
In this leadership role, you will have extensive knowledge and a track record in delivering the latest digitally enhanced teaching and learning methods, including online and blended modes within STEMM Disciplines. An understanding of innovative assessment approaches within a digital environment will be highly regarded.
You will have demonstrated capacity to influence positive change, work collaboratively, lead and manage teams, coordinate resources and promote learning and teaching. A proven breadth of research experience and record of achievement of scholarship in learning and teaching is also essential.
