About the role

As the Project Officer Research, you will be a key part of the RMIT Europe team and make a significant contribution by providing administrative support across all business functions of RMIT Europe with a primary focus on the Research & Innovation function. This includes all pre-award and post-award research funding activities, in particular the development and submission of competitive research grants and the implementation and management of actively running projects. In addition, you will support business-wide activities of RMIT Europe as needs arise.

About you

To be successful in this position, you’ll have experience of but not limited to:

  • Project support and/or management (EU projects experience is an advantage);
  • Planning and organising, with the ability to multitask and managing conflicting priorities;
  • Working autonomously, in a dynamic and fast paced environment;
  • Communicating with a wide range of stakeholders (academic staff, industry and academic partners), both written and oral;
  • Ability to maintain the accuracy of information from a variety of sources, with strong computer skills.

Qualifications and requirements

Essential:

  • A tertiary qualification with relevant work experience;
  • Fluency in English (both written and oral);
  • Eligible to legally work in the European Union.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a Research Office and/or University
  • Knowledge of European and/or international funding schemes
  • Knowledge of Australian tertiary education system
