About the Job
As our new KIOSC (Knox Innovation Opportunity & Sustainability Centre) Teacher/Educator, you will contribute to the development and delivery of a range of STEM programs designed to equip mainly secondary school students for success in the rapidly changing world of work.
You will be required to implement industry best practice and apply current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies within specific requirements. The KIOSC Teacher/Educator will work on a fixed term to deliver STEM based training to students within the KIOSC project.
The KIOSC Teacher/Educator will report directly to the Project Leader, KIOSC and work with the KIOSC Director and Major Project’s staff to achieve successful project outcomes. The KIOSC Teacher/Educator will exercise considerable judgement, initiative, discretion and independence while interacting with staff, students and other stakeholders.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Teacher currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching or equivalent experience or an experienced educator /facilitator/Science communicator with a relevant STEM based degree or vocational qualification
• Relevant degree or vocational qualification
• Demonstrated understanding of how students learn, and the ability to design and implement innovative STEM-based programs aligned to the Victorian Curriculum and the Principles of Learning and Teaching P-12.
• Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop constructive relationships with colleagues, parents and the wider community to continuously improve the student experience of KIOSC.
