About the role
Reporting into the Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor, Vocational Education Programs & Delivery in the newly formed College of Vocational Education at RMIT; the Associate Director Social Care and Health will provide strategic, cultural & financial leadership to the industry cluster and will lead and drive teams through significant cultural change, change in ways of working and business processes.
The position will be accountable for quality, innovation, industry connections and collaboration across the suite of programs and delivery methods. Programs include disability, social justice, indigenous work, nursing, aged care, education support, youth work and language support.
In the role you will provide superior leadership to a team of staff and setting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement that enables the team to be sustainable, achieve and succeed. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of the industry cluster, and accountable for meeting market opportunities and identifying solutions that meet the expectations of industry and community partners, government and external funding bodies.
This role is a pivotal role in the Programs and Delivery portfolio and will work collaboratively with the other industry cluster Associate Directors across the College.
About you
This position requires demonstrated educational senior leadership experience related to leading Vocational Education program teams. You will have broad external robust connections, partnerships and vision. You will have a strong understanding of the issues and concepts employed in strategic planning and financial management and continuous improvement and in the design, development and delivery of vocational education and training.
Your high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to consult with senior executives, external bodies, negotiate agreed directions, outcomes and targets within a collaborative environment.
In essence you will thrive on driving industry engagement and collaboration and foster global links and develop strategies for growth.
