About the role /college
The College comprises four Schools delivering a broad range of programs in science, engineering, health and technology at higher education certificate, bachelor, masters and PhD levels. Many programs articulate between vocational and higher education, creating pathways for further study. There is a vibrant research community of high international standard attracting research funding from a range of government and industry sources. The College hosts a wide range of high performing research groups and centres including a number of ARC CoE, ARC Industry Research Transformation Hubs, Industry funded Centres and Hubs.
The Principal Advisor, Learning & Teaching is responsible for the leadership and management of the College team of Senior Specialists, Learning and Teaching. Working closely with the Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Learning and Teaching Quality, they are responsible for the provision of strategic and academic leadership and management of the College Learning and Teaching (L&T) area, consistent with the University and College strategic plans and objectives.
They are accountable for the provision of quality academic development leadership, advice and support to enable the delivery of high-quality academic programs and quality student experience.
