The STEM College holds a leading position and expertise in the science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and health (STEM) fields. STEM College employs 1,000 staff who deliver onshore and offshore programs to approximately 20,000 students.? 

About You

As the Industry Engagement Coordinator, STEM you will provide efficient and effective industry engagement support for the recruitment of placement sites for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in the College, ensuring alignment with College and University strategy and values. Your primary focus will be to develop strong relationships with industry partners and through these source quality WIL placements that meet our student's needs.

You will also support WIL/Industry Engagement events for partners and develop marketing materials to recruit new WIL placement sites. In this role you will also be required to actively contribute to the team culture and seek continuous improvement of processes and systems, while also mitigating risk.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have, but not limited to:

• Demonstrated communication, relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work collegiately with academic and professional staff, students, and external clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Understanding of the industry sectors that relate to the College programs and their relation to Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
• Demonstrated ability to build and retain effective relationships at all levels within an organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and enact business plans in collaboration with sector experts.
• Proven initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to act without specific direction where appropriate.
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with proven ability to re-adjust workload priorities to meet conflicting deadlines.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Police and Working with Children check.
