About the role
The Project Manager Higher Apprenticeships will provide oversight, advice and support to a DET funded initiative, exploring and designing models for delivery of higher apprenticeships within the social services sector. Building on research conducted in 2020, this role will be required to lead a program of work to design and deliver educational models, program designs and supporting resources. The Program Manger will also test ideas and designs with a pilot group, and liaise closely with the Future Social Services Institute, industry partners and our delivery areas. This role reports to the Associate Direct Learning Experience and will have two direct reports.
About you
The successful candidate will have;
Proven skills and experience in the VET and Higher Education sector in development of innovative, industry driven and engaging educational programs
Working knowledge of apprenticeship and traineeship programs and requirements
Capacity to consult with and involve internal and external stakeholders in design processes
Ability to integrate current practices and trends in digital technologies and pedagogical practices in developing educational models, programs and resource.
Project management skills with a capacity to scope realistic projects, meet timeframes and deliver outcomes.
High-level interpersonal and professional communication skills to work effectively with individuals and teams of staff with different levels of technical and VET knowledge.
Demonstrated high level of problem solving and analytical ability
Proven strategic mindset to successfully navigate both strategic and operational complexity and ambiguity.
Qualifications
A postgraduate qualification in educational is desirable.
Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
