About the role /College 

You will be responsible for leading a team in the provision of services relating to specialist technical support in physical spaces such as labs, studios and other facilities. The role will support staff, students and partners to achieve teaching, and commercial outcomes through effective management of the day to day operations that support physical teaching spaces and resources. You will also manage a shared service approach and will work closely with program areas and teachers and central areas such as Property Services, ITS and People.

The role will operate closely with Associate Directors and Team Leaders to advise the Director, Planning and Resources on strategic procurement options for VE and Industry clusters. You will ensure that resources are developed and maintained to the highest industry and educational standards. The role will also be responsible for supporting College-wide activities including leadership and implementation of change initiatives, and engagement in projects designed to meet strategic objectives.

About you 

You will have technical knowledge and expertise in the provision of diverse services to a variety of specialisations (science, health, IT, engineering, design and digital media). You will also have substantial experience in leading and managing a large team of technical staff to be service-focused, flexible and responsive to changing needs. Demonstrated high level communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain effective relationships internally and externally to deliver agreed outcomes will be imperative to your success in this role. Proven knowledge and application of OHS legislation and regulations and a solid understanding of risk management obligations and implementing mitigations and solutions will be highly desirable.

Qualifications 

Relevant qualification and substantial relevant experience across technical support, facilities and OHS.
