About the role

As the Education Partnerships Manager at RMIT Europe, you will make a strategic contribution to the university mission of ‘Getting students ready for Life and Work’ and will be responsible for cultivation, development and delivery of education opportunities and global experiences through collaboration with industry and academic partners across Europe. This position will see you identify, develop and maintain relationships with new and established partners across both the tertiary and vocational education sectors, RTOs and industry to add value to the University through driving education outcomes. These will include exchange agreements, online global experiences, innovation challenges, internships, executive education, joint programmes, microcredentials etc.

In addition, you will work closely with colleagues across RMIT University in the Global and Education portfolios to achieve ambitious objectives for high value (both in revenue and student impact) education partnerships of benefit for the university (including all RMIT locations and students).

About you

To be successful in this position, you’ll have experience of but not limited to:

  • A sound understanding of the Australian tertiary education sector (including vocational education);
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering transformative student programs in the University sector;
  • Experience and success in securing student and staff mobility funding, along with international or cross-cultural work experience and sensitivity to cultural differences and communication issues;
  • Proven ability to exercise initiative, think creatively, monitor and evaluate program and process performance and to meet deadlines in a complex and demanding environment, and manage risk;
  • Planning and organising, with the ability to multitask and managing conflicting priorities, as well as communicating with a wide range of stakeholders (academic staff, industry and academic partners), both written and oral.

Qualifications and requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor degree with subsequent work experience (minimum five years).  Experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of Australian higher education and vocational education sectors
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours in order to engage with colleagues in Australia to meet critical deadlines or in delivery of student services

Preferable:

  • Experience with Erasmus mobility funding program in Europe 
  • International student recruitment experience 
  • High level proficiency in English and another European language
  • Working rights in European Union country
