About the role 

As the Program Coordinator, Nursing you will provide coordination of teaching resources and student support in the Nursing VE cluster. In this role, you will coordinate processes and activities in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of teaching materials and will provide support to the Program Manager in ensuring programs’ meet regulatory compliance and quality requirements. You will also manage students at risk and provide wellbeing support to students, manage learning plans, assist with timetable, staffing requirements and staff inductions as required. The Program Coordinator will also effectively liaise with staff from other VE clusters, Clinical placement team and external stakeholders to ensure vocational competence to the course is assessed and maintained.

About you  

  • You will bring to the role a strong knowledge and understanding of the vocational education and training sector and the training requirements of relevant industries related to the Quality Assurance processes for TESQA and ASQA in compliance of programs  
  • Key to the role is your teaching experience and educational leadership ability that effectively promote teaching and learning and the use of innovative and flexible teaching methods in the related cluster  
  • It is essential that you have a good understanding of the student lifecycle 
  • It is essential that you have a good understanding of the student at risk and special consideration processes and equivalent learning and assessment strategies   
  • You will be expected to have relevant industry experience and current discipline knowledge as well as expertise in competency-based assessment 

Qualifications

Mandatory:

You must meet minimum qualifications as per the current Enterprise Agreement and current regulatory requirements for the VET sector, which include vocational competency, vocational currency and industry currency.  This includes a Diploma of Vocational Education or equivalent. 

Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
