About the role   

As the Clinical Placement Coordinator, you will be responsible for the facilitation of all clinical placements for students enrolled in health programs.  You will coordinate clinical arrangements across several health care providers, liaise with relevant industry partners, seek, manage and book placements, maintain records and reports and will be required to liaise with the placement facilitators and ensure that all the placement requirements of the program are met and high-quality vocational education and training is delivered to students. In this role, you will work closely with Health providers, Program Manager and Coordinators as well as liaising with other areas of RMIT and in particular with teaching and administration staff. You also may be required to coordinate and conduct assessment of students on placement at various sites across Victoria.   

About you? 

 As the successful applicant, you will have:? 

  • Strong?knowledge and understanding of the vocational education and training sector and the training requirements of relevant industries related to Quality Assurance processes for TESQA and ASQA in compliance of programs? 

  • Educational leadership skills that effectively promote teaching and learning? 

  • You will have previous experience in a placement coordination role and relevant experience in the industry, and substantial and current discipline knowledge?? 

  • Experience with Student databases, systems and associated applications, particularly?VICplace? 

  • An understanding of the students at risk process, special consideration process and equivalent learning and assessment strategies? 

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, facilitation and?support?skills? 

  • Ability to build and maintain effective network with a wide range of stakeholders within RMIT and associated industry partners outside the University? 

Qualifications  

Mandatory:  

You must meet minimum qualifications as per the current Enterprise Agreement and current regulatory requirements for the VET sector, which include vocational competency, vocational currency and industry currency.  This includes a Diploma of Vocational Education or equivalent.   

Mandatory current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.?  

Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children check.
