About the role

An exciting opportunity is on offer for an Aboriginal Project Worker to work within the Brighter Futures, Links to Early Learning, Communities for Children and Getting Ready for Life programs team

This role is based at our Campbelltown Uniting office and is offered for a 6 month period with a possibility of extension.

This is an Aboriginal Identified role. Having an understanding of your local community and key Aboriginal stakeholders in your community is essential

As an Aboriginal Project Officer you will:

  • Be responsible for providing project support to our teams, sometimes working on more than one project at a time
  • Co-manage purchases and deliveries and liaise with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake and manage a portion of the Fleet Vehicle portfolio
  • Be responsible for various administrative duties as requested by the management team, including providing support with promotional material
  • Assisting with duties involved with filming/photography for internal & external projects

Your experience will tick the following boxes:

  • Demonstrated ability to consult and work in partnership with stakeholders and local services to identify needs and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, facilitate and evaluate project goals and desired outcomes in partnership with other stakeholders using strengths based approach
  • Verbal and written communication skills of a high standard
  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritising skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a range of staff and external stakeholders, both verbally and electronically
  • Some experience with videography or photography would be advantageous
