About the Job
As our new Team Leader, Employment Services you will be responsible for the design and delivery of tailored employer services that meet the needs of the students and employers. You will lead a team of service-driven staff who are responsible for advising business, industry and community on the service-offerings and channels Swinburne provides for student and graduate employment. This role and the team are responsible for implementing employer services that are aligned to the University’s strategic goals on employability and Work Integrated Learning (WIL).
This role reports to the Manager, Employer engagement and will also lead the design and delivery of an employer service recruitment agency model as part of Swinburne Talent to provide more tailored specialist services delivered in an effective way to support and increase student employment outcomes. To achieve this, you will be a natural collaborator, connecting with a wide range of internal stakeholders across the university and external stakeholders. As part of the role, you will also develop and provide policy recommendations to the Manager, Employment Engagement for the services managed by the team.

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Significant experience and proven expertise in the leadership and management of an operational workgroup
• Demonstrated experience in developing and adapting procedures and processes to achieve objectives, operating within a complex organisational structure
• A high standard of interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
