About the job
The Department of Education at Swinburne University of Technology was recently established as a separate entity within the Faculty of Health, Arts and Design. Underpinning all research, teaching and knowledge exchange activity in the Department of Education is a commitment to social justice and the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and groups in the communities we serve. This not only shapes the ethos in the Department but also engagement with stakeholders such as students and professional partners. 

The Department of Education is seeking a Professional Experience Liaison Officer, a full-time role that develops and builds relationships with schools (Primary and Secondary) and Early Childhood Centres in key areas to facilitate students undertaking Professional Experience as part of their Education degree. 

The position reports to the Professional Experience Manager and works closely with staff within the Department of Education area to support professional experience across the teacher education programs.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
• A qualification relevant to Early Childhood or Primary Education 
• Demonstrated strong relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders within the education sector 
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
