About the job

The Work Integrated Learning Coordinator provides high-level administrative and customer support in the customisation and delivery of resources to improve graduate employability. Under direction from the Senior Lecturer, Work Integrated Learning, this position will assist the development, management and coordination of the delivery of placement and internship preparation programs and offerings for the WIL units of study.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance for the development, maintenance, delivery and review of vocational and higher education courses in work integrated learning and placement/internship preparation modules
  • Manage the development and review of administrative systems to maintain accurate records of student progress, assessment and engagement in accordance with established business rules, policies and procedures
  • Prepare periodical course Evaluation Reports relating to student satisfaction and relevance of courses to their career development needs. Outline actions to date, issues, concerns and recommendations for future improvements
  • Promote and support all aspects of student welfare and support initiatives to improve completion rates and student outcomes in WIL
  • Initiate marketing activities to promote WIL units of study such as mobility programs to potential students and for successful uptake

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • A degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated understanding of Work Integrated Learning practices, employment services, labour markets and opportunities available to Vocational and Higher Education students and graduates
  • Demonstrated ability to implement high quality teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes, which respond to a diverse range of student and client needs
