About the Job
Swinburne is embarking on an exciting journey, working towards our new vision of bringing people and technology together to build a better world.

We have multiple roles for VCE Vocational Major teachers to contribute to our Swinburne Secondary Programs. You will be a dynamic VCAL and/or VCE teacher who is proactive with curriculum initiatives, a passionate educator, interested to work in our team and be at the forefront of innovative student engagement and experiences.

The roles are based at the Croydon and Wantirna campuses and you must be willing to travel between campuses and work at a range of locations.

About you
To be suitable for the role you will have the following:
  • Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teachers
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110
  • AQF5 level (or above) qualification in Secondary Education
  • Relevant degree in areas applicable to VCE and VCAL programs including evidence of currency.
  • Demonstrated up to date knowledge in the delivery of applicable VCAL and/or VCE subjects
  • Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning practices in classroom-based and with online learning modes, which respond to a diverse range of student, needs.

Qualifications
  • Relevant degree and/or vocational qualification
  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education
  • Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), we welcome provisionally registered teachers as well.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) OR
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the following units:
    • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor, OR
    • TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills
      • AND
    • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor, OR
    • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools OR
    • TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools
