About the Role 
Are you a seasoned fundraising professional looking to make a significant impact in Higher Education? We are seeking a Trust and Foundation Specialist, Senior Philanthropy Manager to lead our efforts in cultivating institutional relationships and securing major gifts to drive philanthropic investment into our university.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with major donors and prospects, including individuals, Trusts and Foundations, PAFs, and corporate partners. Reporting to the Associate Director, Philanthropy, you will play a key role in identifying and developing philanthropic opportunities that align with our Horizon 2025 strategic vision.

As a vital member of our dedicated team, you will collaborate with Schools, Centres, and researchers to develop, secure, and steward strategic philanthropic relationships. Your strategic mindset, creative approach, and exceptional communication skills will be essential in exceeding our philanthropic targets.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 
  • Demonstrated fundraising experience at a senior level, preferably in a tertiary education environment, with a sound knowledge of appropriate concepts, methods, and practices.  
  • A passion for supporting Higher Education through philanthropic relationships.
  • Demonstrated high level of experience negotiating and delivering major gifts (preferably six figure gifts or greater). 
  • Demonstrated high-level ability and practical experience in working with donor database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge). 
  • Strong people engagement, relationship development and customer service orientation.
  • Willing team player and contributor to objectives of the fundraising, bequests, and communications plans of the Philanthropy team.


Qualifications
  • Post graduate qualification or marketing/business degree with subsequent relevant fundraising/business development experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in fundraising; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
