Learning & Development Manager – Learning & Development

As our Learning & Development Manager, reporting to the Group Manager Learning Strategy and Design, you will drive the learning and development agenda across The Star Entertainment Group. Your key focus will be to consult and collaborate with stakeholders to create a cohesive, end-to-end plan in identifying learning needs and creating impactful learning initiatives. 

 

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will uplift capability across the group and align this to meet regulatory requirements. By creating fit for purpose learning solutions that are practical and effective, your designs are compliant and aligned to The Star’s Purpose, Values and Principles. 

 

A few of your responsibilities: 

  • Partner with stakeholders to determine critical learning needs and develop effective skills and compliance training curriculums as aligned to the Capability Frameworks. 

  • Prioritise opportunities to develop an annual Learning & Development plan for various functions.

  • Participate in our Learning Council and other governance forums to engage senior leaders, align on the priority learning needs, and secure the required investment and resourcing. 

  • Collaborate with the Transformation Office to deliver on training and leadership items within the Remediation Plan. 

  • Support the Learning Delivery & Operations Team with comprehensive ‘Train the Trainer’ programs and handovers for all new workshops, so they are equipped to deliver. 

 

What we will be looking for: 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly. 

  • Extensive experience in designing and managing training programs within a regulated industry. 

  • Understanding of Australian Casino Control Acts, associated regulations, and compliance requirements. 

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align training initiatives with Australian regulatory goals and the overarching training dominance framework.  

  • Extensive experience in designing and managing end-to-end training programs within a regulated industry. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. L&D, Organisational Psychology, Adult Learning)

You are a seasoned leader with in-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, casino regulatory requirements, and contemporary leadership development initiatives. You have a proven track record in designing compliant training programs within an effective training governance framework and know how to influence and motivate the internal training community.?
