About the job
The Lecturer (Nutrition and Dietetics) will play a role in the Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition Major) and contribute to the Masters of Dietetics course; participate in the administration and ongoing curriculum development of units offered by the Discipline; and progress a research profile. Specifically the role will involve revising and developing and delivering units. The incumbent will be expected to carry out appropriate activities that will maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional expertise. They will be expected to function as a member of both discipline-based and interdisciplinary teams in order to help the faculty to achieve its objectives.
The incumbent will be committed to, and enthusiastic about growing the nutrition and dietetics profile of Swinburne University. With a passion to innovate and embrace diversity to enrich the opportunities of colleagues and students in the delivery of undergraduate nutrition units and postgraduate dietetics units, this role is based across the Department of Health Professions and the Department of Health and Medical Sciences, this is an 18 month appointment.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• Recognised degree in nutrition and/or dietetics (preferably from an accredited Australian program or qualifications recognised by the Dietitians Association of Australia if overseas educated).
• A research qualification: Doctorate (PhD) or Masters (Research) degree appropriate to the Discipline of Nutrition or progress towards.
• Tertiary teaching qualification or equivalent experience/expertise.
