About the role

A newly created opportunity has arisen for a strategic thought leader to manage our Workforce Planning and Reward team, within the People and Culture function.  Reporting to the Vice President People & Culture, you will be accountable for the design, implementation and achievement of strategies that meet the University’s people objectives and ensure Swinburne has the workforce it needs, now and in the future.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing frameworks, policies and processes related to Workforce planning, data analytics, remuneration and reward. This role is also responsible to drive cost effectiveness in the University’s people costs.

You will work within a highly collaborative unit that promotes innovation and new ways of thinking in engaging, supporting and inspiring Swinburne’s most valuable asset, our people. 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities to analyze trends, surveys, spreadsheets and quantitative analysis.
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to work with complex and large amounts of information, research and the interpretation of raw data.
  • Proven experience in contemporary remuneration and benefit practices, legislation and market practice
