About the job
As the Associate Lecturer/Lecturer, Exercise and Sport Science you will play a role in teaching and research in the Department of Health and Medical Sciences at Swinburne University. You will have a primary expertise and experience in work integrated learning (professional practice) for exercise and sport science and be able to contribute to another sub-discipline area. The incumbent will contribute to curriculum and potentially research in their sub-discipline area of exercise and sport science in undergraduate and postgraduate programs within the School of Health Science at Swinburne University.

The primary focus of the Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Exercises and Sport Science is to convene and teach undergraduate units, contribute to academic programs and supervise research students. You will be enthusiastic around innovation and embracing diversity to enrich the opportunities of colleagues and students. You will also be expected to carry out appropriate activities that will maintain and develop their scholarly, research and/or professional expertise.

Swinburne University is delivering a new contemporary exercise and sport science degree through a number of different media; including face to face, blended, and using digital technology. Cutting edge laboratories and technology are available to deliver exercise and sport science teaching at Swinburne, and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of a new exercise and sport science program!

About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A Bachelors and Masters qualification in Exercise and Sport Science
• A doctoral qualification in Exercise and Sport Science (Level A - preferable, Level B essential)
• Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching including a record of teaching in Exercise and Sport Science in work integrated learning (exercise science professional practice) as well as the ability to contribute to another area of exercise and sport science curriculum
• Potential to contribute to research or professional activities in exercise and sport science as an emerging researcher
