About the role

As the Post Doctoral Research Fellow, you will partner with the School’s key research partner - the Future Fuels Cooperative Research Centre (FFCRC) and focus specifically on the FFCRC project RP2.3-06 Risk Governance in Procurement for Future Fuels. This research project aims to examine procurement of materials, equipment and services as undertaken by both private and government interests in order to identify risks which may result in adverse or unplanned outcomes. Furthermore, the aim of this research will also include exploring a range of mitigation strategies for Future Fuels members to prevent adverse procurement outcomes. You will also interview a range of stakeholders along the supply chain, relevant regulators and work on developing a risk governance framework for procurement of materials, equipment and services, particularly in the context of future fuels projects. You will work closely with other project team members from both academia and industry.

About you

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • Experience in organising and conducting interview-based research
  • Qualitative research experience in a professional / organisational setting
  • Research experience in one or more of the following domains: risk management, organisational safety, project procurement, supply chain management and project management
  • Ability to critically conduct literature reviews
  • Proficient in use of relevant software such as MSOffice, Nvivo and Endnote
  • Excellent report writing and academic writing skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build professional relationships within the FFCRC environment
  • Academic publication track record

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant area
