About the Job
As our new Instructional Designer (Pathways and Vocational Education (PAVE), you will provide expertise in the research, development and writing of learning and assessment materials for specifically identified programs or projects within the Learning Design and Innovation Unit and the broader University.

You will utilise your highly delveoped skills in undertaking research and consolidating information to high- level written format, aligned to either units of competencies or learning outcomes at all AQF levels within the higher and vocational education and training sectors. In this role, you will also be resposnsible for:
• analysing content needs and producing first class teaching and learning materials;
• completing compliance related activities such as validation of assessments and mapping;
• collaborating with both internal and external industry subject matter experts andclients to develop, customise and adapt programs to meet project objectives; and
• working extensively with industry, team members, teachers and professional staff in a range of areas across Swinburne,

The position will report directly to the Lead Instructional Designer and the Manager Learning Design, and work with Learning Design and Innovation staff for successful outcomes of the projects and
programs.

About you
We encourage professionals that possess high-level written and comprehension skills with the ability to develop customised learning resources which address client needs and reflect industry best practice and contemporary learning pedagogies to apply. You will also need to demonstrate:
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• significant experience in unpacking units of competency from various training packages to create learning and assessment resources
• experience in creating learning and assessment resources for multiple delivery models. A minimum of two of the following: short course workshops, workplace or simulated environments, online, face-to-face classroom delivery or blended models
