What you'll be doing

 

 

  • Perform analysis and provide insight to help the business understand performance and drive action to address issues/leverage opportunities
  • Partner with business to ensure delivery of Smarter Selling savings
  • Own Corporate Plan & budget process for eCommerce, focusing on continuous improvement to ensure alignment across stakeholders (e-comm & cross-functional) and strategy
  • Own period performance reporting & forecasting to Group and eComm Leadership Team
  • Own relationship with Operations finance to ensure alignment on eComm operating expense P&L lines within overall supermarkets’ costs
  • Take finance lead on investment appraisal for Operations initiatives including business case and approval process, monitoring results and PIRs
  • Partner with the eCommerce finance team to ensure integration of processes, establishment of reporting and alignment on future impacts of program to eComm expense lines
  • Define reporting suite for eCommerce Operations, supported by Data & Reporting team, to ensure insightful and action-focused reporting
  • Financial process governance, risk management and control

 

 

Good things you'll need

 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in either Finance or Commerce
  • Understanding of technology, business information management or other data related functions
  • Experience working within an ASX listed or complex organisation – with overseas retail/FMCG experience highly regarded
  • Able to work within a fast-paced environment and simplify processes
  • Strong commercial acumen to ensure profitable growth objectives are delivered 
  • Proven experience in preparing, understanding and analysing financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges and recommend course of action
  • Proven ability to challenge & influence key business stakeholders (finance and non-finance) to achieve best for business outcomes
  • Experience of navigating complex problems and problem solving
  • Experience of presenting financial information concisely which focuses on drawing out insight
  • Experience of owning end-to-end planning process
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation  
  • Commercial awareness
  • Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written (email, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  • System literacy; experience of developing dashboards in Power BI or similar desirable #LI-FIN
